Job Title: Asbestos Inspector (Developmental Role)

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team and be

developed as an Asbestos Inspector. In this role, you will undergo comprehensive training and

mentorship to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Asbestos

Inspector. You will work closely with experienced inspectors and participate in various field inspections

and sample collections. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement in the

field of environmental testing and consulting. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in

environmental health and safety, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to upholding regulatory

compliance and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist experienced Asbestos Inspectors in conducting inspections of buildings and structures to

identify and assess the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

2. Learn and follow established protocols and procedures for conducting asbestos inspections and

sample collection.

3. Participate in the collection of representative samples of suspected ACMs, ensuring adherence

to proper sampling techniques and safety protocols.

4. Properly label and document samples.

5. Transport samples to laboratory using chain of custody documentation.

6. Stay updated with local, state, and federal asbestos regulations, guidelines, and industry best

practices under the guidance of senior inspectors.

7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of inspections, sample analysis, and other

relevant information under the guidance of senior inspectors.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in environmental science, occupational

health and safety, or a related field is desirable.

2. Strong interest in environmental health and safety, with a willingness to learn and develop a

career as an Asbestos Inspector.

3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.

4. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively learn from and communicate

with experienced inspectors and other team members.

5. Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently once required.

6. Basic computer skills.

7. Valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle. Willingness to travel to various job sites throughout

New England.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 per year

  • Jobsites are mostly in New England but from time-to-time travel to out of area job may be required
